Starting in the 1970's Copeland began doing larger construction projects, including paving, throughout southern Oregon. Through the years, Copeland completer numerous municipal road and street projects and privately funded subdivisions and commercial projects, significantly contributing to the development of the local and surrounding communities.
In more recent years Copeland Sand & Gravel has decreased both in the size of their work area and the number of larger projects. That evolution was made in order to more fully concentrate on the smaller project needs of the local community.
Copeland has become the single contractor that provides all paving services by adding concrete paving installation. And is now regarded as the "go to company' for chip seal paving. Chip sealing is a work task that Copeland continues to provide throughout the state and into northern California.
CONCRETE
In recent years Copeland has added a full array of concrete installations. Installation of slabs, sidewalks, curbs, decks, foundations, and walls are included, along with whatever a customer needs may be.
Our concrete expertise allows us to be able to serve individual needs within the community by providing options for decorative surface treatments, appropriate designs, and materials.
Copeland's concrete services provide both functional and decorative concrete. Allowing us to serve your largest commercial jobs to your simplest homeowner project we can help.

Copeland provides much more than asphalt, chip seal, and concrete surfacing. Along with a full array of concrete installations, Copeland can perform work for an entire project start to finish or any portion of a project including land clearing, demolition, earthmoving, grading, rock placement, sanitary sewer, storm drain, water supply work among other services.

Since 1952 Copeland Sand & Gravel, Inc. has been Grants Pass' home town provider of both residential and commercial asphalt paving, chip sealing, road building, underground work & utilities, earthmoving, excavation, and aggregate. We do it all and have for over 70 years. Our estimates are always free and we stand behind the quality of our work.
Additionally, we also work with BLM, Forest Service, Oregon, and US Park Services providing hundreds of miles of chip sealed and rocked roads, access roads, and significant park improvements.
Over the past 70 years, we have developed strong working relationships with several local contractors and do a lot of site work as a subcontractor for these companies. We have developed and maintained an emphasis on individual small private and commercial work. However our first priority is the individual homeowner, we pride our selves on being fair, equitable and accessible. We love developing working relationships with individuals.
