All of the descriptions below are hyperlinked from the products page, which is a quick reference table of the rock, sand, bark, and other products we offer.

Crushed Gravel

  • 1 ½ - ¾ (Ballast): For muddy areas that have some base underneath.
  • 1 ½-0: Used for driveways that are in bad shape or-soft areas. Usually used for building a base for new roads or driveways.
  • ¾-0 : Mostly for driveways that need rock but still have a good base, can be used if muddy but not real bad. Good for filling pot holes.
  • ¼-0: Usually used for asphalt, sometimes used for driveway toppings. Lays down nice and packs nice.

Crushed Clean Gravel

  • ¾-¼: Used for asphalt. Good for drives with mud or for walkways. Will not pack as good as -0, water will drain through.
  • ½-¼: Same as above, used also for chip seal on roads and great for walk ways.
  • ¼-#10: Used very little, mostly for top dressing on chip seal.

Round Rock Gravel

  • 1 ½-¾: Uses are septic drains, leach lines, and 1andscaping.
  • ¾-¼: Used for trench drains around buildings, concrete, and landscaping.
  • 0-Peas: For exposed aggregate concrete and 1andscaping. (3/8 in)
  • S-Peas: Backfill for ditches, concrete fill under slabs. Compacting is 100% naturally.

Sand

  • Concrete Sand: Concrete, special filtered septic systems, sand boxes, power line backfill.
  • Plaster Sand: Brick, block work, and under plastic lined pools.
  • Reject Sand: Used for fill in ditches, under concrete slabs etc.
  • Concrete Mix: For making cement.
* Plant treated means water has been added for compacting.
